Nestled in a woodsy landscape, the Bill + Adele Jonas Center opens up new possibilities for the College of Marin’s community gatherings.

A partnership with the Marin Rotary Club, this state-of-the-art facility is designed for special events, meetings, trainings, and more. The project breathes life into the campus and strengthens connections with the community.

Accessibility was a key component in the center’s design, with open walkways and gradual inclines allowing anyone to move freely and comfortably throughout the space. And with sustainability in mind, brick determined how best to harvest direct sunlight as a natural heat source, with strategically positioned shading elements to moderate the heat depending on the time of year.
The Center provides open and inviting indoor and outdoor spaces for any-sized gathering, allowing for beautiful views of the surrounding nature from nearly any location in the building. With flexible functionality and an airy, naturally-flowing layout, the center is a magnet for campus life.

The complex accommodates large and small group meetings, events, and casual gatherings.

A covered walkway, lined with a gabion basket wall, provides a seamless link between the main building’s kitchen and the separate catering kitchen, allowing for an easy upgrade in kitchen capacity when required by a larger, catered event.
