Rachel Gonsalves joined brick after a handful of years in the Oakland area. Having completed her architectural education at NC State University, Rachel received a Fulbright Fellowship to work on housing and health centers in Rwanda.

She also partnered with the University of Rwanda to work on a research study entitled “Tradition vs. Innovation: A Cost-Benefit Analysis of Rwandan Construction Techniques.” After returning to the US as a Fulbright Scholar, Rachel continued to work in the housing sector. Rachel enjoys being outdoors and active, learning about other cultures, and traveling, all of which help her in her work as an architect.
