When’s the perfect time to innovate?

When everyone else is being conservative, says brick. CEO Rob Zirkle.
As the world was starting to recover from the great recession of 2007-2009, Rob Zirkle saw an opportunity to innovate.
Zirkle – then a principal of Steinberg Architect’s San Francisco office – had a “perfectly reasonable job” he said, but decided to leave that role and launch his own company at a time when well-heeled companies were trying to figure out a way forward after a recession-induced pause.
That company is “brick”, an architecture and interior design firm that he founded in 2010.
